I completely understand why you chose not to play "Volkswagen" at this time, Kim.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:33pm
melinda:

I loved 3-2-1 Contact.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 8:34pm
listener james from westwood:

Those PBS shows (Sesame Street, Electric Co, 3-2-1 Contact) had some very fun and funky music not dumbed down to what might have been perceived as kids' music. The Pointer Sisters music behind those pinball cartoons was the bomb, f'r instance.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 8:39pm
KimSorise:

Oh yes I have the 12" of Pinball Number Song - brilliant. So much amazing music on PBS TV - shit even the close of Sesame Street with all the percussive bells sends chills.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:43pm
melinda:

@listener james: so true. Great music to have as a kid. The 70s brought children's tv programming to a new level. Kim I hadn't thought about the Sesame Street closing theme in forever but you're right, it was good!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:44pm
melinda:

My first hearing/viewing of Stevie Wonder was on Sesame Street, playing Superstition w/full band.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 8:45pm
listener james from westwood:

They credited kids with the ability to perceive and enjoy, and their parents with the willingness to explain. And also enjoy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:48pm
melinda:

I'm digging Jerry Moore.
