I play music that is old and that is new. Some of it is digital while some is analog. It is from many different countries; sometimes it is loud and at other times it is quiet.

Ah, so nice to listen live! I haven't been able to for quite a while. The archives are great, but live is the way to go when possible!

It's always good to have live listeners, david! Thank you for tuning in!

Love to hear Dean Wareham in any context he chooses. Great voice.

Listener142985:

This has been one helluva 27 minutes. Nice work, M.

Mayuko:

The 6ths was a collaborative project by Stephin Merritt from The Magnetic Fields, Listener142985, and I've been a fan of them so I got to know Dean through this... I liked his voice a lot too!

Mayuko:

Oh and thank you!

Merritt & Wareham. Sounds like a law firm. I would hire them for sure.

Ooh, that was nice!

Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi, folks! The background color today reminds me of the 64-crayon Crayola box from childhood. It's not quite Red-Orange and not quite Orange-Red, either. shop.crayola.com...
Avatar 5:38pm
Mayuko:

A little bit melancholic law firm though.

Mayuko:

I love that Angus track being so noisy and yet poetic, Doug!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:40pm
Doug Schulkind:

Precisely, Mayuko. I always loved the band Blind Idiot God. Maybe the loudest music I ever heard in person, and yet it was beautiful. Romantic even.
Avatar 5:41pm
Mayuko:

Hello Ken, welcome on board! Is that red Crayola guy always on the package?? I don't remember seeing him when I was little. (Not Mayo Thompson)

Dave B.:

Hello Vertigo!
Avatar 5:48pm
Mayuko:

I've written down that name, Doug! I love it when music is so loud and beautiful, makes me so happy like violent first spring wind coming from the south (which we experience in my country, that is...) Looking forward to checking them out.

Ken From Hyde Park:

No, that big crayon guy is new to me, too.

For a few seconds thought this was Áine O'Dwyer. Another very cool user of organ tones.

I love that Toupidek Limonade album so much and yet don't know much about the band, Listener142985. Organ is not always there and vocals take turn, but I like other tracks too.

So many thanks for playing Blue Sabbath Black Fiji!
Helicoptere Sanglante aka Popol Gluant is Hendrik Hegray, who runs the Premier Sang label. He's also an accomplished artist. It would be hard to tell the story of the Paris noise or art scene in the past decade without running into his name. And Sister Iodine, who probably were involved in how these people met in the first place
Avatar 12:25am
Mayuko:

Thank YOU, fred! & thanks re: Helicoptere Sanglante, I'll find stuff of those people out as well. Would love to go to Paris and check out those scenes there someday!
