@Parq-I have seen every Star Trek TOS about a gazillion times...I like it, yes. Also, have you seen Star Trek Continues on the internet? They pick up with new actors for the original roles such as Spock, Scotty, etc...

News from Planet Manhattan: NYT yesterday: The developer Jared Kushner, son-in-law of the presidential hopeful Donald J. Trump, sold the second of six loft-style apartments at Puck Penthouses, a luxury condominium his firm assembled atop the landmark Puck Building in NoLIta. At $28,511,000, the transaction was the most expensive closed sale of the week, according to city records, as well as a neighborhood record. “The buyer made a nice deal, and we made a nice deal — and we set a record with the price. You can’t beat that,” said Mr. Kushner, who is married to Mr. Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump. Monthly carrying charges total $13,705.

Hey, I saw the CJs when Golden Shower was getting a lot of airplay. The bass player was breaking strings almost every song, that impressed me. Been a long time since I heard this, sounds pretty sedate now, eh?

Great. Circle Jerks take a whole bunch of songs I hate and make them likable. How am I supposed to maintain my foul mood?

Question for anyone on the comments who's NYC-based...what's the best used record shop for getting old weird spoken word LPs? There's a poet, August Plinth, and he put out seven records of his own poetry on NYC's Vox Records in 1973. No one's got them on the internet so I think my only chance of finding them would be if they're in the bins in a store somewhere in greater NYC. All advice welcome.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 5:06pm

Laura: yes, and many, many, many more! (I am proud to have had a hand in discovering some of them, such as the last one played.)

There's a tune somewhere called "President Lyndon Baines Johnson!" and Firesign Theatre used it as the instrumental underscore to their alien invasion training film in "Everything You Know Is Wrong".

...I think Jazz & R&R traded places: Jazz was elitist & Rawk populist - but Rawkers look down their nose @ you if yer not their Style exactly - & Jazz people meet in tiny places & say 'Oh! - You like this too?? Hello!'...
