Los Shakers are the tops!
Hey Gaylord, Mike Sin and Dominick!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:06pm
Gaylord Fields:

@MattBelow: I can go on about how great Los Shakers are, but why bother when the music says it much better?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:09pm
MattBelow:

@Gaylord: Masters of the swingin' beat!
  3:14pm
David Marando:

i can actually listen today, and not working !!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:16pm

Hey Pops! Enjoy the tunes!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:16pm
Matt F:

Hey Matt- the DVD player at the top of the stack also functions as a cd player...you're in studio c, yah?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:17pm
Mike Sin:

re: CD player
Is it one of those situations in which the tray won't stay closed after loading a disc? If so, shut it down and unplug it for a few, if possible.
  3:17pm
David Marando:

i am relaxing in the livingroom, enjoying the tunes !!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:20pm
Mike Sin:

I don't know if it's just the compression on some of these '60s Brit records, but many times my ears tell me a lot of these drummers on these '66-'68 freaky tracks used a piccolo snare drum.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:21pm
MattBelow:

Hey Matt F! Thanks man!
@Mike Sin: I tried that power trick and it's still being odd
  3:25pm
David Marando:

Who is Barry Fantoni ?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25pm
Matt F:

Mention the cd thing to Scott after your show, maybe he can swap it out for one of the other machines...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:27pm
MattBelow:

The one day I don't bring records!
I'll mention it to Scott
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:28pm
MattBelow:

@Pops: Barry Fantoni was a friend of Ray's who aspired to be a singer. Single flopped!
  3:30pm
David Marando:

oh he has a good voice, thats to bad. What ever became of Barry ?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:32pm
MattBelow:

@Pops: Not sure. I don't think he did anymore singles. Maybe Gaylord knows!
  3:36pm
David Marando:

Did you hear about the Lou Reed tribute in NYC ??
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:40pm
MattBelow:

@Pops: I think so. It got some mixed reviews. Ronnie Spector on the other hand was fab!
  3:41pm
David Marando:

yah i wanted to know about the show, how was Dion ?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:44pm
MattBelow:

Dion was good. A bit PBS rocknroll special for my personal tastes, but still good. Ronnie stole the show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:46pm
Gaylord Fields:

@MattBelow @David marando: As far as I know, that was the extent of Barry Fantoni's pop career. He became more famous as an author.
  3:46pm
David Marando:

How was her band ?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:47pm
MattBelow:

@Pops: Her band was really good. Lots of energy!
  3:48pm
David Marando:

Oh ok thanks Gaylord i always enjoy history behind the music.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:48pm
MattBelow:

@Pops: The crowd was pretty subdued for the entire show though!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:49pm

re: Barry Fantoni
In the '60s, he was better known in the UK for hosting this show:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:51pm

Hi Wendy!! How was your show and birthday?
  3:52pm
David Marando:

Just went and checked that out, you tube link looks cool thanks Mike Sin.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:53pm
Gaylord Fields:

@Wendy del Formaggio: Happy belated birthday (evidently)! xoxo
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:53pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

My show today was a Big Bacharach Show. My friend gave me the Rhino 3-disc Bacharach box set from 1998, and I was so excited I dug up some other Bacharach tunes and did that for two hours. It was fun!
My birthday was also fun. But it's not over. I still have more things planned.
Thanks for asking. :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:54pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

Thank you, Gaylord! xoxo

Thanks Sean! And thanks all for tuning in and bearing with me!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:59pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

Aww shucks, thanks, Gaylord. <3
I plan to do another one for BB's birthday in May. I didn't have time to go through all the male vocalists I wanted to. I didn't get to play 24 Hours From Tulsa!
