@Billy London: pretty high tides the past few day, eh?
  6:46am Billy London:

@ sem really? I'm from the maritimes, but I'm in the uk for a few more months, I spent many a day in Moncton and Amherst.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:55am maestroso:

G'morning FXO. Enjoying the mix this AM.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:59am Sem Chumbo:

@FXO: Billy L refers to a small river in New Brunswick, Canada, which, though it is well inland, is affected by the 50 foot+ tides in the Bay of Fundy.
Here's a map, the red pin is roughly where the town of Petitcodiac is.
goo.gl...
That stretch of water to the north of Nova Scotia and east of Maine is the Bay of Fundy, which is part of the Gulf of Maine, which is part of the North Atlantic.
@BL: an extra foot of tide on the a day before and a day after the new moon. Awesome. Where I am, we have ~28 feet normally.
Avatar 7:00am fxo:

hey, 'stroso. Thanks.

  7:04am Eric Hat:

  7:04am Billy London:

Love this jimi track
  7:06am mauri:

its all green everywhere!
Avatar 7:09am fxo:

green = Spring, right, mauri?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:09am Sem Chumbo:

@Eric Hat: its possible to ride the tides inland. Tour companies take you to the mouth of a river at low tide in a Zodiac, and then as the tide come in---very,very fast---you are propelled inland. As the river tries to get out and the weight of the water in the Bay tries to get in, the Zodiac hits standing waves. Like skiing moguls. Wild ride, survival suits are worn.
Oh, six foot standing waves:-O

Hey, mauri!
