I remember visiting the National Gallery in '84 and walking into the room where this and its companion hang: https://www.nationalgallery.org.uk/paintings/robert-campin-a-woman I knew the painting from books. Or so I thought. Seeing the actual paintings filled me with joy.

The songs tell a story: Anything for a Laugh, You Got the Power to Make Me Happy, I am Controlled by Your Love, Should I Let Him Go?, I Can't Hear You No More, Ease Away a Little Bit at a Time, I'll Be Gone.
