good evening. our Prime Minister today rebuked the Leader of the opposition for calling Donald Trump "barking mad".

ausmanx, you might like former Mexican president Vicente Fox's summation of Trump, if you haven't seen it already: www.youtube.com...
Avatar 7:07am
ausmanx:

ah you know, i'm ambivalent. it's kind of stupid to say trump's mad; he is clearly quite the opposite to get as far as he has. on the other hand, most of the people here will agree that he's mad, so it's a smart thing to say!

Blessings and Peace. Enjoy your weekend, Micah!

re Trump: there were many before him and many will come after..
  7:11am
Cliff:

Fox didn't say Trump was insane, what he said was that he's not truly a member of either party, he's only for himself and is an egomaniac. (And also what he thinks about "that ****ing wall" that Trump wants to build on the US/Mexican border, and somehow have Mexico pay for it......anyways enough politics from me today, I might give myself an aneurysm)
Avatar 7:20am
ausmanx:

correct, annie, esp with respect to the idea that trump's egomania is somehow new... others may have disguised it better, but obama's just as bad, in his own way.

i've been watching this funny little series called Schitt's creek. it's a hoot, aired on CBC.. ..yep, aus, you have to have some degree of "self-esteem", inflated or not, to run for office.
  7:24am
Cliff:

"Schitt's Creek", cue Beavis & Butthead laugh (heheh, heh, heh, heheheheheh, heheheh, heheh, heh, heh, heheh, heh, heh, heh)
Avatar 7:25am

catherine ohara plays his wife and she just does not get boring. she uses that same persona found in most of her films.
  7:27am
Cliff:

Should I just dive right in with the latest episode, or is it something that I have to watch from the start to understand any of it?
Avatar 7:28am
annie:

it's better to start from the beginning as there are a few running themes., although dipping in anywhere is fine. i've been bingeing on it
Avatar 7:31am
annie:

finished the latest episode last night. there was a scene that tore me up, Moira was warning the motel clerk about online problems when running for town council. the episode is called Moira's Nudes.
  7:31am
Cliff:

I like the concept of jazz-singing Ramana Maharshi.
Avatar 7:32am
annie:

the main cast has their schick together for sure, real tight and consistently well-time humour
  7:32am
Cliff:

annie, sounds great, any way I can legally watch it in the US?
Avatar 7:32am
ausmanx:

can also recommend a French series called KABUL KITCHEN about ex-pat who starts a bar in Afghanistan. appalling politics, but pretty well done... i'm subtitling it this evening!
Avatar 7:37am
annie:

yup, it's on putlocker or maybe here: www.cbc.ca...
thanks for the tip aus, i think i've heard of that.

i will always love that movie Bagdad Cafe(?) in the middle of the desert with all the weird characters.
  7:40am
Cliff:

Already tried through CBC's site, was sternly informed that I'm FORBIDDEN FROM VIEWING THAT CONTENT. Putlocker looks like it'll work though, thanks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:41am
micah:

thats right guys...just IGNORE the programming and talk about whats on the BOOB TOOB..
Avatar 7:42am
annie:

i strongly recommend that when using putlocker, stay with the main page player, ...... oops... sorry micah.. i'm listening.. really..
  7:42am
Cliff:

micah, I did say before I like the concept of jazz-singing Ramana Maharshi (though I left unsaid what I thought of that particular execution ;)
