Favoriting Brian Turner: Playlist from August 2, 2016 Favoriting

Order and disorder in a freeform haze of terribly-played guitars, shorted-out electronics, found audio detritus, strange sounds from strange lands all around. Psych-punk-junk, collage, even pop. Lots of in-studio live performances to boot.

With all that fall-speak, I have to brag: I scored "Perverted by language", a Boris EP, Paris' Guerilla Funk, and 2 Kid Koala CDs for a grand total of 9 euros yesterday. After-sales clearance can be better than the actual sales

I think it should make you happy: maybe someone will take a chance on it because it's cheap and break through into another world

I'd love to get my hands on that Budgie box. Had the LPs eons ago, but purged them. (Happy, sad, happy, sad.) Then there are the box sets produced lately by/for Burning Shed, e.g., a 27-CD box of Pink Floyd material from 1965-72.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:58pm
fred:

These were "carpal tunnel syndrome" and "your mom's favorite DJ"
  4:58pm
Dean:

25 copies of the same recording?! So the winner could run an A/B/C/.../Y test? I'm no Floyd completist. In fact, I have two...no, three...of their records. The Mobile Fidelity DSOTM LP and two copies of Meddle on CD: an early issue and a remastered one. I might have appreciated one of those 25, though.

BTW, Burning Shed has also compiled, at relatively low cost, Hawkwind's early albums and, upcoming in September, the Charisma records.

"Being true or real is of no concern to Funhausen, though if its hide was torn open and its insides spilled onto the dirt, stray and infected traces of some of the greatest rock & roll ever committed might be spied by the purified eye."
