Hi, all...

It's beautiful and sad--how wonderful they probably are, how they will be treated and mutated by the adult world they will enter. Life. America!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:28pm
melinda:

Jason are you saying 'wacko' on purpose?
Avatar 3:28pm
Mayuko:

Good afternoon, Jason and all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:29pm
Jeff Golick:

The fact that it's on your mind is reason enough to talk about it.

I have concerns as a Secular Humanist whose family includes Jewish, Bhuddist, UU and all kinds of people.

Jason Elbogen:

Melinda--'wacko' was a freudian slip! I know it's WAY-KO.

Hey all, fine sounds to bring in this weekend after...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:38pm

That's why I asked, people sometimes make that joke.

Mayuko:

Hey @Jeff G, did my email to you last week got through?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:40pm
melinda:

My great aunt lived in Wacko, so for years I associated the name of the town with her, but eventually the Branch Davidian event pushed that association to the side.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:47pm
Jeff Golick:

@Mayuko! YES! I thought I'd replied with a big thank you, but perhaps not! BIG THANKS!

I thought you said Kaidan, so I predicted Hijo Kaidan. This is that stuff Hijo Kaidan x Hatsune Miku, the vocaloid software or something like that?

This Noisy Killer item is a weird, pleasing combination of light and heavy.

Alex In Illinois:

The "no filters" reminds me of two episodes of South Park. In one, Eric Cartman pretended to have tourette's syndrome so he can get away with saying offensive things, but then found that he was unable to stop saying things that were embarrassing to himself. The other is the one where Eric Cartman subscribes to a service called "Shitter" that immediately Tweets his thoughts to the internet.

hi Jason
i heard at least some of that mic break and 1)i wont waste energy worrying 2) i agree in that i don't think he believes everything he says 3)i think much of his campaign was shtick, and that it was actually fairly brilliant
...but, 4)he's an impulsive, vengeful child and a spoiled brat 5) he's not all that successful in the financial arena 6) he says, and i think he believes that "global warming" is "a hoax" - which straight up makes him an idiot.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:03pm
Alex In Illinois:

What I don't understand is Louisiana. That state is losing an area of land the size of a football field every month or week or day, or something--losing land to rising water levels caused by global warming, and yet they support party the denies global warming.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:04pm
melinda:

I agree that he doesn't believe everything he says, but the fact that he's willing to say it is disturbing. It will be interesting to see how much of it he sticks with.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:05pm
melinda:

Some of the climate change deniers have conceded that the earth is warming but that it has nothing to do with human activity. The new denial is about the anthropogenic aspect.

haha! okay! [oh, and 7)he's associated with scum like giuliani]
...i think a lot of people don't really give a shit about their children.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:08pm

Bye Jason!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:08pm
coelacanth:

...Thanks Jason (for the whole show, even though i only caught 1/2 hour of it.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:11pm
Alex In Illinois:

But Louisiana is losing land right now, in the present.

My wife sent me a link to the Bill Moyers article too. We like Bill Moyers.
