Glad to find a little levity on this gray day
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:17am

The Jodi track is rife with Mondegreens!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:27am
Amanda:

@9 in PGH - please, examples! I was too busy cuing to listen to the words too closely.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:28am
Andy in Etobicoke:

It is 52 degrees in Toronto, presently, so I will listen to the show from the creek.
Avatar 9:31am
KP:

Is that 52 degrees C for Canadian?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:31am
listener james from westwood:

@Amanda: ::Lincoln nods approvingly::
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:42am
Andy in Etobicoke:

@KP It must be, but the government doesn`t tell us anything....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:46am
Amanda:

It has been in the 50s here too, so I suspect that it is F.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:47am
Amanda:

Wait, 52 degrees C would be like the surface of the sun
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:54am
Andy in Etobicoke:

Nah, it is 52 degrees fahrenheit.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:55am
Amanda:

Well, that was exciting there for a moment.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:02am
Andy in Etobicoke:

Sorry, for the climatic letdown.

NORAD would have keep you in the loop.
Avatar 10:08am
KP:

My father almost bought a house owned by someone in the Illusion. Their pro equipment and a huge poster were set up in the basement.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:11am
Amanda:

Whoa, that is cool! I don't know anything about the people in that band, only that Jeff Barry was their producer.

Life with Nazario Scenario: Madness

Life without Nazario Scenario: madness
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:25am
Amanda:

It's true enough!
  10:35am
Randy Scouse:

Dolenz took "Randy Scouse Git" from the Brit TV show from which Norman Lear created "All in the Family." Like Archie calling Mike a "Meathead."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:36am
Amanda:

^^^This is also true!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:44am
Little Danny:

Mornin' Amanda and all - sad to have missed Simpsons time but glad to be here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:46am

You didn't miss it! It is coming up in the next set!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:47am
Andy in Etobicoke:

Amanda, thank you for the TJ. Excellent selection.

Little Danny, I think you're still in luck, as unless I had a narcoleptic fit, Simpsons Time hasn't happened yet.
  10:48am
Doug Schulkind:

Chemirocha!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:49am
Little Danny:

Ah, good to hear - saw ST on the home page and figured it already had gone out
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:49am
listener james from westwood:

Hottest I've ever felt was 48°C, ~118°F, in July in Vegas. Rather breathtaking in its straightforward lethality.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:51am
Amanda:

Ah, I can explain the homepage thing. I also do a podcast where I present vintage Simpsons Time segments on their own, and it goes out at 9 or 10 Thursday morning. Separate from this show. SOooo if you like, you can enjoy 2 Simpsons Times in a row.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:53am
Parq:

Speaking of Randys, great Randy Newman song.
Avatar 10:53am
northguineahills:

I've been in 111F/44C in Vegas, and it was tolerable. 105F/41C in Florida was deadly due to humidity, and 103F/40C in NYC wasn't fun either.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:04am
Little Danny:

I like it Amanda, only 'cause I never got to hear it live on Wednesday afternoons!
Avatar 11:04am
KP:

I like! It allows me to get an early start on doing nothing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:15am
Artie Haywire:

Happily lurking (again)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:17am
Amanda:

Thanks very much for your thoughtful feedback

Nate K:

I've been listening to you discuss this episode, and I can still barely remember it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:25am
listener james from westwood:

I know I saw this one a million times, yet progressive prion destruction has sanded down the details. So very glad for the review!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:26am
Nate K.:

Magic's back in the news... good timing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:34am

I am here for all Amanda Simpsons character imitations.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:34am
Little Danny:

OMG spot-on Milhouse voice
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:46am
Ken From Hyde Park:

Good thing President Ford initiated Project Bootstrap!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:56am
Amanda:

Exactly. Burns says "Thank you, President Ford" in a "Thanks Obama" voice that I would re-appropriate in a sincere tone.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:00pm
listener james from westwood:

Thank you, President Nazario!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:01pm
Amanda:

Thanks for joining me today, every1!

9 in PGH:

I found audio of Pequena Mariposa somewhere to listen again but I still could only make out scattered interpretations of some lyrics. Wonderful tune to open the show. Found some background on Jodi at Dereksmusicblog.com. Great show today!

jodi:

Thanks for listening JODI. I am very gratefull. Best Regards from Asuncion
