HI JAMES!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:10pm
Aaron in Minneapolis:

Kimzilla, it was nice to talk to James on Monday night during Dave Hill's show. He said you were taking your niece shopping for dance recital tights
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:11pm
Greg from ZONE 5:

(I mean after this show, of course :)
Avatar 7:12pm
TehBadDr:

WCW, in that accent, seems odd. I thought he was long based out of Mas General, when he was a Dr. attending.
  7:12pm
james f:

i never said tights! dont go putting words in my mouth
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:12pm
Aaron in Minneapolis:

I remembered tights, SORRY!!!
Avatar 7:13pm
kimzilla:

@Aaron, yes, he told me you said hi. HI!
Avatar 7:16pm
(Murakami Whywolf))):

I'm just starting "Girl Waits with Gun", a mystery set in and around Paterson in (I think) 1914—lots of reference to silk and dyeing.
Avatar 7:16pm
kimzilla and Emily:

@TehBadDr Yes, we picked this accent specifically. We found a recording of WCW reading it, but it seemed a bit too stuffy and we wanted something that spoke to the accents of Paterson and Jersey so we asked Nick to read it.
Avatar 7:17pm
kimzilla and Emily:

@Murakami, cool, that will be interesting to read after going to Paterson.
  7:18pm
DEZ:

SILK CITY!!!!!
  7:18pm
Emily:

I'll add it to my reading list!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:19pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

@E & K - Have you considered making a road trip to High Point, NJ, or to the Delaware Water Gap? You could climb up to the lookout tower or take a kayak trip.
  7:20pm
Emily:

@Ken: good idea, thank you! I've never been...we will look into it!
Avatar 7:21pm
kimzilla and Emily:

Keep the ideas coming! WE have a whole list building for this summer. Either interesting people, a location, something that would sound good on radio. Send the ideas our way!
Avatar 7:22pm
kimzilla:

I love his accent.
  7:22pm
Emily:

I do too! He has such a poetic way of speaking English...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:22pm
Greg from ZONE 5:

And more important, if you go to High Point you can stop by the Summit Inn! One of my favorite bars in the state.
  7:24pm
Emily:

I got a little watery-eyed when he called us his family.

Ken From Hyde Park:

At High Point, you might run into someone on a quest to visit the highest point of each state. I hiked up Slide Mountain in the Catskills on an incredibly clear day and I remember seeing the High Point tower, which is about 70 mies away.
Avatar 7:31pm
Emily:

So...the *original* plan was to go get hotdogs, but I was a little apprehensive. I haven't had a hot dog since I was like 5. I managed to psych myself up to eat one--I was so ready! I am SO GLAD we did this instead. Abdul spoiled us.
Avatar 7:32pm
kimzilla & emily:

@Ken from HP: sounds like a really great hike! We've been itching to do some hiking, too--ever since the weather got nicer...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:33pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

That table looks like about five million times better than hot dogs.
Avatar 7:33pm
duckiekiller:

Now that is tableful of food. Definitely beats hotdogs and I'm a hotdog lover.
Avatar 7:34pm
duckiekiller:

An evening stick. The stick you use to even things up if a fight doesn't look fair.
  7:35pm
Emily:

@ Ken and Duckie: totally. It was soooo good. Duckie: where are your favorite hot dogs??
  7:36pm
Emily:

@duckiekiller: exactly!! He was short. It "evened" him up to other guys.
Avatar 7:36pm
kimzilla:

@ Duckiekiller: She's talking like she really cares about the answer to that hotdog question...
  7:36pm
Emily:

Hey! I'm ready to be sold on hotdogs! I just haven't had the right argument for them yet...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:36pm
Greg from ZONE 5:

Uh-oh. Sounds like we need an "Emily watches 'Lean On Me'" episode…
  7:36pm
james f:

all the old jersey towns have this mystique. Paterson,Elizabeth, Newark, JC. i know exactly that thing Nick is talking about
  7:37pm
james:

yes, greg!!
Avatar 7:37pm
kimzilla:

@Greg, Emily just got that reference on THIS trip!
  7:38pm
Emily:

Hahah I'm worried if we did another "Emily watches a movie" episode, we'd lose the other half of our listeners...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:40pm
Greg from ZONE 5:

Did you go to Red, White & Blue?!
Avatar 7:40pm
duckiekiller:

Maybe you need a hot dog road trip! Travel to all the legendary hot dog joints on the east coast. My favorite is Snoopy's, but it's a long way from Jersey.
  7:41pm
Emily:

Duckiekiller, I used to love Snoopy's as a kid!! That was literally the last hot dog I had!
Avatar 7:41pm
kimzilla:

@ Greg, Funny, he talked about that shop! I think it's on the digital editing room floor though.
  7:42pm

I'm intrigued by this hot dog tour idea...

Avatar 7:44pm
kimzilla:

@ Greg, That was the original plan, rippers!
  7:44pm
Emily:

Definitely! All the cultural dogs!
Avatar 7:45pm

Emily would want ghost dogs (no dog) with extra kimchee, or what ever Brooklyn serves in a hot dog joint these days.

Avatar 8:06pm

@Ken They say "Never share a stage (or a trial) with babies or animals, they always steal the show." But they never say what happens when the babies and the animals share the same Trial of the Century promo.
