Ridgewood Radio features concert recordings by adventurous bands and experimental musicians and restored archival tapes from private and institutional collections captured at venues large and small across the five boroughs of New York. It is produced by David Weinstein and Outpost Artists Resources operating out of the Ridgewood section of Queens, NY, where you'll find more yellow bricks than on the road to Oz and the cemetery of your choice is never more than a few blocks from home.

Good afternoon David, Ruth, and virtual or actual Ridgewood people

Ah Fred. You are figuring us out. Some of the characters around here aren't even real! (Ruth not included)

Hi David and Ridgewooders.
Love this Frisell playing Monk-he's playing in Philly in September, won't be able to go, not sure if he has NY area dates.

Yes with Thomas Morgan this Friday at Roulette indeed.

Cool, maybe I can get there (had planned to go the one in Philly, really like Petra Haden as well, but the wife made plans on/for me...good plans, mind you, but will miss that one)
This is just great!!! :)

Obviously, I won't be there on Friday. But it's open-doors day at the Paris art school, so I'm taking a day off and will spend the afternoon looking at the students' work, catching a dance performance, maybe a few concerts, and drinking cheap yet nice beer

Sounds good, Fred, enjoy!
More current live sounds, also really cool.

Almost a 3-decade leap, jarring in a good way

Matthew Gantt is hard to Google as there seems to be several of them in the arts. But follow the trail to his VR companion, "Plastics". Fascinating new voice to me.

Is that this Matthew Gantt? gantt.works
I trained google well, it seems to add "weird music" automatically to my searches from home

@geezerette: I guess sp. I was reminded today that it was coming. Not a good surprise, as it cuts a days from a an already short deadline at work

No time to tell more about Ackerly but following her album Coalesce, or her projects Gold Dime or Jazz Bra's Dot Com will yield rewards.

Thanks, all! Stay tuned for Kenzo!
