I think this kind of art is the hardest work and therefore, in my mind, great art. Spirit cooking in my mind is NOT art, it is merely satanic rituals. So I guess there is a spectrum of greatness.....based on effort and skill. In my mind the people who paint and draw at the Art Students League are , for the most part, some of the BEST art has to offer, and the rest are mostly charlatans and con men. I think THAT may be the source of your confusion. I am an art school dropout, a former student of Architecture at Cooper Union and presently a test engineer. I know a bit about art and that is my humble opinion based on going to galleries and museums in NYC from 1984-1994.

	7:56am Wild Neil: PEACE all. @Tusalava: I think of Chuck Close when I think of great art. He is a consummate hyper-realist who plays with abstraction, but on the road to great realism. I think this kind of art is the hardest work and therefore, in my mind, great art. Spirit cooking in my mind is NOT art, it is merely satanic rituals. So I guess there is a spectrum of greatness.....based on effort and skill. In my mind the people who paint and draw at the Art Students League are , for the most part, some of the BEST art has to offer, and the rest are mostly charlatans and con men. I think THAT may be the source of your confusion. I am an art school dropout, a former student of Architecture at Cooper Union and presently a test engineer. I know a bit about art and that is my humble opinion based on going to galleries and museums in NYC from 1984-1994.
