Jeff Conklin:

@Tidy66: You put MV & EE jams on books-on-tape tapes?
  12:33am
Tidy666:

Yeah man...they are like 43ish minutes per side.slightly inferior tape quality but it kinda adds to the vibe!

I was teasing. Someone did the "I'll tell ya later" the other night and it was Phish. It was actually phunny. Didn't mean to offend!

*ive actually heard Phish on FMU a few times in recent weeks. Once on Dave Hill's show, even.
Avatar 1:28am
Jeff Conklin:

I'm sure Jesse Jarnow has played some Phish on here. I didn't know Dave Hill played music
  1:31am
MONEYBAG$:

I think Jesse was banned from playing Phish/Dead for awhile but that may have been lifted, he played a Trey solo track recently
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:32am
Ike:

Most Dead makes me want to plotz but this isn't completely terrible. They weren't too high to play their instruments this time! LOL j/k, don't kill me. I like this little semi-avant-garde digression a lot, actually.
  1:33am
J Dream:

Haha it was actually Jesse's sub this week that pulled the old "I'm not gonna tell ya what it is til later", and sprang the Phish. So maybe it was premeditated.
  1:34am
J Dream:

Maybe he's got Dave working for him too! Seeding Phish throughout the schedule
  1:35am
J Dream:

Think Dave just plays the jams when he needs to freshen up

Wish they did Dark Star > Jack Straw more, I believe this is the only one...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:50am

I want them to go into "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" with Crosby. I bet the Dead would play a great version of that!

nickrhombi:

a friend of mine brought me to see the dead with his sister in 84 or 85.(garden... meadowlands... cant recall.) there was a guy there who was pressing a balloon against my face and saying, 'feel the bass, man.. feel the bass...' - i seem to recall some excitement over the fact that 'garcia was doing space'. (?) a fact that seemed to excite all in attendance.
