Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:48am Matt Fiveash:

Hi Bob, Man I love this Donald Byrd tune. Do you know the Charlie Musselwhite version? Also killer.
Avatar 9:48am jiepar:

Yessssahhhhhh
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:49am WilliamfromDumont:

Morning to all. Didn't Harvey Mandel cover Cristo Redendor?
Avatar 9:50am SmokinJ:

Yes, on 'Games Guitars Play' I think...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:53am Matt Fiveash:

Harvey Mandel is also the guitar player on the Musselwhite version.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:53am WilliamfromDumont:

And Young/Holt Unlimited did a badass version of Going In Circles. Sans vocals though.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:55am WilliamfromDumont:

Smokin' and Matt, the LP I'm thinking of is called Cristo Redentor. From '68 I think.
Avatar 9:58am SmokinJ:

Yes, that one came out in '68. 'Games' was '70.
🥁 9:59am David in ATL from NJ:

Another outstanding show, Bob!
Avatar 10:15am SmokinJ:

Bingo bb! (Thanks Arthur)
  10:15am RHenderson:

Thank you, Bob! 'Wild Weekend,' every little bit of it, is simply one of the best things ever. So very NRBQ, yet there's nothing else quite like it in the band's catalog.
  10:17am moe:

love two weeks in a row, way to go, Bob...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:17am The Loner Boy (bnowb):

Avatar 10:22am SmokinJ:

Not ridin' the Ural?
  10:22am DaveinPA:

Why can I not listen to this music without imagining Clay Pigeon singing both parts?
  10:22am Dean:

My parents have Harry Guardino's autograph on a cocktail napkin from Dino's on Sunset Blvd.
Avatar 10:22am SmokinJ:

He probably could!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:23am WilliamfromDumont:

Da Capo sounds great in MONO as well!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:23am The Loner Boy (bnowb):

@smok'n J wow you remembered by motorcycle. ty .. nah I been so addicted to BMX on an old bicycle, i just cant stop. lol
Avatar 10:25am SmokinJ:

Did you buy that Ural new? I wish I had a Patrol for the winter months.
  10:26am noting:

Harry Guardino's brother Joe died this week:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:26am The Loner Boy (bnowb):

The Ural an awesome motorcycle;.. yea brand new still has low miles. Just always runs. ... I was thinking of selling and a friend was like don't you dare they gonna sky rocket .. i just love it tough.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:26am The Loner Boy (bnowb):

*though but i guess tough works lol
"i love it tough like hardcore"
Avatar 10:27am SmokinJ:

Sell it and buy a real Beemer! ;-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:27am The Loner Boy (bnowb):

Lmao i know right. I wanna put a side car on it and really go in snow.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:27am The Loner Boy (bnowb):

and off road..
Avatar 10:28am SmokinJ:

Atta' boy..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:28am The Loner Boy (bnowb):

I got like 1940 goggles and all.. lol RideOrDie :)
Avatar 10:29am SmokinJ:

And they'll NEVER 'skyrocket'. Trust me...
Avatar 10:30am SmokinJ:

Ahh, but a nice R90S...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:31am BnowB:

I don't see it either. They so "un-popular" especially in the states. The north west they huge seattle and such. Europe they huge.. the state people weary of a Russian Motorcycle.. but it killed the Nazis .. they good enough for me. lmao
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:32am BnowB:

They have a big history of fighting in WW2 with side car machine guns .. it was a bike stolen from BMW factory by Russia .. and they used it in Army for a great victory on the URAL mountains.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:36am WilliamfromDumont:

He does play with The Byrds at Monterey. Also, Chris Hillman produced a single for him in late '66 I think.
Avatar 10:36am SmokinJ:

I don't care much about Urals, but with the current Russian situation I expect the price of Vacuum Tubes to start to climb. I use a lot of them, and Russia is the worlds largest supplier. Another American industry discarded long before it's time...
  10:38am Dean:

Stereo equipment or guitar amplifiers?
  10:38am Dean:

Or recording gear?
Avatar 10:39am SmokinJ:

Yes,yes,yes.. :)
  10:39am Dean:

Wow. Hence, "a lot of them."
Avatar 10:40am SmokinJ:

Especially the music industry portion.
  10:41am Dean:

Do you know Tim de Paravicini's gear?
Avatar 10:42am SmokinJ:

When televisions went solid state, America said screw tubes, while the Russians were still using them in their rockets!
Avatar 10:42am Marc Francis:

That Sorm & Wechael Garland song was like The Books but prettier and happier...
  10:43am Dean:

Of course, the internet is a series of tubes.
  10:44am moe:

Massive Love fan, remember hearing "Little Red Book" blasting out of my AM radio 66? And had to buy the album, it did not disappoint, as did the next two... saw the revamped Love at the Bowery, Warsaw and the Forever Changes show at Town Hall... Long live Love, thanks, Bob...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:46am BnowB:

@smokinJ i still have a lovely old tube amp listening through right now. it does have a a few russian tubes lol funny
Avatar 10:47am SmokinJ:

Buy some spares. Money well invested..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:48am BnowB:

Ahh good thinking again!
  10:51am RHenderson:

I'm not doing my own show on LUXURIA today, but your show has me almost rethinking that...except my studio is like 110* here in Southern California, even with the feeble window A/C unit. Such a good one this morning, Bob, thank you!
Avatar 10:54am SmokinJ:

Hats off to bb for supplying the quality audio our tube amps crave! Thank You brother Bob! 8-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:56am Ken From Hyde Park:

That was some pretty timeless music from Faces there. How lovely.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:57am Summer and Michael:

Great show, Bob! Loving this PJ O'Connell in particular and the wonderful Bobby Hebb cover of "Good Good Lovin'".
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:58am melinda:

I like those old movie clips.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:00am BnowB:
