Imbeciles was a James Kavoussi penned tune.
James on lead vocals and guitar for that one.
Although Wm. was the primary guitarist in the band, it was all down to who wrote what.
  3:25am

Thanks for the Uncle Wiggly info, Glenn!

BnowB:

I hope it wasn't suicide.. i don't think so... its just my worst thought.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:31am

@BnowB No one knows. The family are strictly withholding details. I've been trying. I've been prying.

Here in Bulgarian mountains we like circle time , sounds extra good when the wolves howl
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:33am
BnowB:

I've not asked a word until now. I've been hoping for a bit more closure. Life doesn't always give us that. Your a good dude Glenn!
  3:33am
markr:

Right now, this Bach music feels sort of like nice eulogy music for Wm. Without getting into too much detail, we've been told it was not a suicide.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:34am
BnowB:

Thanks MarkR thats a relief? I guess..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:35am
BnowB:

In the end i suppose it doesn't matter how. I just miss him.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:36am

@BnowB Thank you! We've all been wanting closure. Still hoping to learn details privately.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:37am

Sorry to get deep about this; I shouldn't be prying.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:38am
BnowB:

WFMU everyone involved is like family to me.
  3:38am
markr:

Wm. was deeply loved and admired by many, both those who knew him personally and those who only knew him over the air. It's only natural to want some answers and a sense of closure.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:39am
BnowB:

Yea.. thanks..

That family vibe is real and it's what makes FMU special to all of us. Thanks for your care and passion and dare I say love, BnowB

That was a tough transition to get right--I could have rocked that Bach all night, but I wanted to diversify, OK?

The mind of Monk was a strange and fascinating place, wasn't it, BnowB?
  4:05am

A lot of people get confused between the album "Life Time" and his later group Lifetime which was one of the first fusion groups. Both great but very very different sounds.

The mind of Monk fascinates and haunts me Markr. I've known people I think musta been like Monk. Brilliant, genius like, yet.. marched to their own mental and social beat. Its a place to get lost. The mind of Monk.
  4:16am
markr:

You always wonder if medication that might have made him more "normal" would have stunted his creative spirit and killed his inventiveness. Sensitive mental health professionals have sought that special combination for years. Uncaring professionals just sedate them all like zombies.

Markr your so right about mental health care.. I wonder the same about Monk just because well it was so evident. And help doesn't always stop the creative maybe it would have helped. I mean probably not.. Oh the life of the mind.....
  4:26am
markr:

The early 80s were the relative dark ages for psychotropic meds, too. It was harder to pinpoint the treatment of one symptom/behavior without affecting a whole range of others. Those meds were truly blunt instruments.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:27am

Yea your right about that.. Meds were blunt instruments.. thats so true!

I believe you're right - that's one of the things about it that drew our attention as well as the beat. Danceable Innuendo telling a story about a place you can imagine in your mind, especially as a young boy of around 10 I guess around '63. I'll check the release year. Thanks so much, Mark.

People get very precious about coffee. My regular everyday is Chock Full o' Nuts. I have a place in the neighborhood that roasts their own beans, and I make weekends special by grinding some of them up and brewing that in my standard Joe blow coffeemaker, not a French press or anything.

I'm familiar with "Serve Yourself," I like it but it doesn't pass the FCC test. Folks, give me album titles when possible, it's very helpful. Beatles tracks are eligible, too.
