Favoriting September 26, 2017: CHRIS DeMARCO (Troma's War)
Composer, songwriter and vocalist Chris DeMarco discusses his soundtrack for "Troma's War" which received its first ever release (on limited fireball splatter vinyl) by Ship To Shore PhonoCo. in July. "Troma's War" was Troma producers Michael Herz and Lloyd Kaufman's 1988 follow up to the "Toxic Avenger" and "Class of Nuke 'Em High." From singing on Tom Scholz of Boston's first demos to fronting NYC's Riff Raff (the Sid Bernstein-managed band signed by Chris Blackwell/Island Records in 1977), Chris has a long and storied career slugging it out in the NYC, Boston and LA music scenes in the 1970s and 80s. Chris would later also compose for Troma's 1989 "Toxic Avenger III: The Last Temptation of Toxie."
