The first episode of your show I ever listened to, and indeed the first WFMU show I ever listened to live, was The Some Dead Punk in New Jersey Commemorative Show in April of 2007. In fact it was only the last 30 minutes or so. So the first "song" I ever heard on WFMU was W. Cleon Skousen + Jennifer Gentle + Billy Jam hating the police. You have my eternal thanks for that.

Upon hearing the unadulterated sample, I immediately recognized the sample. I cannot figure out how exactly they mutated it, though, but I imagine it's been slowed down and time stretched quite a bit.

	♥ 5:20pm northguineahills: I had to get 10 stitches when I accidentally shattered a beer glass I was washing (My hand was inside, I have Von Willebrand syndrome, which means I don't produce enough proteins to allow my blood to clot very well (aka false hemophilia), so, I tied a turnicate, got a a towel and applied direct pressure, called a car service, and went to NYU Medical (No way I was going to Woodhull), my wife nearly fainted w/ all of the blood that pooled on the floor, I was fine. It cut to the bone (I could see it), and it did look like freshly cut lobster tail.

The first episode of your show I ever listened to, and indeed the first WFMU show I ever listened to live, was The Some Dead Punk in New Jersey Commemorative Show in April of 2007. In fact it was only the last 30 minutes or so. So the first "song" I ever heard on WFMU was W. Cleon Skousen + Jennifer Gentle + Billy Jam hating the police. You have my eternal thanks for that.

Film director and sound designer David Lynch sampled "Big Band Beat" as part of his soundscape The Air is On Fire, produced as ambience for a 2007 art exhibition. He then reused the song as part of the soundtrack, redubbed "Slow 30s Room", in S3E8 of Twin Peaks broadcast in June 2017.

Upon hearing the unadulterated sample, I immediately recognized the sample. I cannot figure out how exactly they mutated it, though, but I imagine it's been slowed down and time stretched quite a bit.

	♥ 5:20pm northguineahills: I had to get 10 stitches when I accidentally shattered a beer glass I was washing (My hand was inside, I have Von Willebrand syndrome, which means I don't produce enough proteins to allow my blood to clot very well (aka false hemophilia), so, I tied a turnicate, got a a towel and applied direct pressure, called a car service, and went to NYU Medical (No way I was going to Woodhull), my wife nearly fainted w/ all of the blood that pooled on the floor, I was fine. It cut to the bone (I could see it), and it did look like freshly cut lobster tail.
