Ridgewood Radio features concert recordings by adventurous bands and experimental musicians and restored archival tapes from private and institutional collections captured at venues large and small across the five boroughs of New York. It is produced by David Weinstein and Outpost Artists Resources operating out of the Ridgewood section of Queens, NY, where you'll find more yellow bricks than on the road to Oz and the cemetery of your choice is never more than a few blocks from home.

I'm sorry I missed you at the Outpost a couple of weekends ago. The sound art show was great. (And I got to meet Ruth.)

Hi-you should post when you will be doing a show somewhere in the area, out in Staten Island and Jersey, but would like to run in sometimes.

this is the only WORK 00 show I missed .. so it's good to hear it here. I did have a secret WORK off-site show in Shanghai .. but that 's another story....
anyways .. November 8th Wednesday will be the last regular WORK show at 1090 Wyckoff .....much much thanks to you David for your smart recording and general help .. and the Outpost for this resource.
But here's the thing .. do you want to play Nov 8th? Either with Ian and me .. or your own thing.

@docjazz: yes, Outpost is not the most unique moniker. The full name of the joint is Outpost Artists Resources and that is the web address too. www.outpostartistsresources.org

This O'Rourke is very cool.
Went to the link, seems not to have any performances in the near future (unless I'm reading it wrong, which is altogether possible)

I was listening to Richard Chartier in the car on the way back to work (just now), this would blend so seamlessly w/ it.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:05pm

ngh: I should dig deeper into Chartier. Thanks for the pointer.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:05pm
steveo:

"here"? are you able to do this show remotely from queens? are all the drummer shows remote?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:08pm
weinstein:

Yes, remote. Some Drummer shows come out of the Jersey City studios but the whole project was launched to give faraway DJs a chance to participate in the WFMU radiosphere.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:09pm
weinstein:

And thanks, steveo, I saw what you did!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:10pm
steveo:

excellent. I wasn't aware. that explains the odd little snippet of song that comes through between show changes... (my pleasure; & i agree that this O'Rourke is very cool).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11pm
weinstein:

And speaking of marathon thank yous, along with steveo... James F, David R, Matteo L... thank you all and a big aw shucks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:12pm

Yes, as the stream control is passed from DJ to DJ, city to city, and sometimes around the globe, there is that little hiccup of fragments.

What was that sound installation gallery that used to be on Broadway and the 30s, and then moved to Brooklyn around 2008? I saw Richard Chartier do an installation there in 2007 that had 8 channels in a pitch black room w/ a phosphorous compound that dripped into a pool w/ minimal traces of glowing explosions w/ the electronic sound of minimal bass pulse waves and ryoji ikeda-esque treble clurps w/ occasional drone passages.
