As you said, who knows how much of/any of this will actually be seen, noted and acted upon, but what else can one do?

Above, the North Atlantic flyway from Europe is filled, horizon to horizon, with the contrails of silver airships all headed south and west to the cities of the northeast. I've counted over thirty. A flock of mourning doves I feed all winter arrived in full force this morning, just as the sun rose over the horizon. What a patient bunch. On the coldest winter mornings, the flock waits for the first rays of the sun. A life lesson, surely.

Above, the North Atlantic flyway from Europe is filled, horizon to horizon, with the contrails of silver airships all headed south and west to the cities of the northeast. I've counted over thirty. A flock of mourning doves I feed all winter arrived in full force this morning, just as the sun rose over the horizon. What a patient bunch. On the coldest winter mornings, the flock waits for the first rays of the sun. A life lesson, surely.
