  It's about a girl who becomes a goddess. Raymond and Christabel are a young couple who have become frustrated with their workaday lives. They seek something beyond themselves, and get more than they bargained for.Their longing meets with magical mystical forces in the universe. They meet up with the Ghost Brigade. It turns out that Christabel is fated to break the curse of the Ghost Brigade. The only way she can break the curse (and defeat evil no less!) is to join them. JUNG THE LEGEND OF CAPTAIN ABILENE FATHER JOE WORLD WAR I INTERLUDE PRELUDE CHRISTMAS TRUCE CHRISTMASTIME WHY WAS I CHOSEN TIME ON EARTH CHRISTABEL SAILING THROUGH THE UNIVERSE GOODBYE CHRISTABEL APOTHEOSIS CIGARETTE BURNS' DEFENSE POINT OF NO RETURN NEW CONSTELLATION
    Christabel is conflicted. She realizes that her destiny is to join the Ghost Brigade (and sacrifice herself) but she wants to stay with Raymond! Why Was I Chosen?! is one of her songs. As Christabel undergoes apotheosis. (A definition might be useful) she joins the Ghost Brigade in battling the bad guy -- the evil Cigarette Burns! Yes, a good way to think about the opera is as an epic Twilight Zone episode! As Christabel undergoes her transformation she becomes more and more other-worldly. She time-trips to World War I, to medieval Europe, and sails through the universe!

How do you tell someone that you love ridiculous and stupid when it is your whole life? I know someone who say George Solti conduct, loud, fast furious and when they left the concert hall, said to themselves, what happened? Lenny was the real thing worthy of being missed because he put himself out there. His interpretations of Ives are great, but Stokowski actually got it, too. Lenny's Liszt Faust Symphony is the one, check it out.
