Happy Birthday Keef!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:12am
pacific standard simon:

Is it safe to come out this week?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:14am
pacific standard simon:

You have to play at least one Kieth vocal. Happy?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:15am
Fuzzy:

Little T+A! Yes?
  3:15am
markr:

It is if you like the Stones (only through "Exile," of course.) Stay tuned to see if one of your favorites turns up!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:18am
pacific standard simon:

Ringo is still older. Go figure.
  3:19am
markr:

Who's older--Ringo or Bill Wyman?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:19am
pacific standard simon:

Wyman, you're right.
  3:20am
markr:

That was actually a question--I wasn't sure.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25am
pacific standard simon:

I have one of those books that says who played what on all Stones tracks, so if you have a question, just ask.
Avatar 3:32am

Is it three hours of Stones?

Just one hour of Stones, Scraps, then we're gonna diversify.

Color is tough on these old eyes! Love the Stones tunes! Need some Neil Young counterpoint I think. Merry Christmas, Mark, and everyone!
  3:39am
markr:

Merry Christmas, Steve. Don't have any Neil planned for tonight, but his new album, "Hitchhiker," made up of old early 70's recordings, is really great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:39am
pacific standard simon:

I have a lot of Brian slides and Mick Taylor solos in my memory banks, so I have to sort this stuff out while listening.

Rock'n'roll Circus was the closest we ever got to a Beatles/Stones jam, I guess.
  3:45am
markr:

That's OK, they were better separately, probably. There's a story in one of those books (maybe Ronnie Wood's?) about a jam with Keith and John in the 70s, with a lot of drugs.

Ya-Ya's was a major introductory drug for me. I'd heard their singles on the AM radio for years, but never bought any of the albums until then.

Let's give a shout-out to Stu for the boogie boogie piano on "Little Queenie", shall we?

  3:52am
markr:

"Run Run Rudolph" was solo Keef. But I know what you mean, "Main Offender" and "Talk Is Cheap" both had some great songs on them, but I was only doing an hour, and there were too many great Stones songs, I didn't want to bump, say, "Tumblin' Dice" for one of those Keef songs. Love his solo stuff, though. Much more than Mick's.
  3:54am
debt collector:

What’s the over under on keef making it to 80?

I stopped betting against Keef in the 70s.
