	10:57am Listener Robert: I got into baking this past year originally as a way to make use of the leftover half packet of yeast I had from fermenting beverages 2 liters at a time in soda bottles. I'd already gotten into using the oven here since moving in in late 2016. Other places, I usually didn't know how to light the over; Mother never showed me that when I helped with her baking. But the oven here is electric, and it was just a matter of figuring out the electronic controls. What I mostly bake is pizza. I'll be doing one today. I make 2 pizzas' worth of dough at a time, raise it, then age it at least overnight in the refrigerator before baking the first pie in a cheap roasting pan.

	11:00am Listener Robert: I'd recommend a beginner who's deliberately getting into baking to start with soda-raised batter cake rather than yeast-raised dough. That way you don't get covered in flour. Or "bake" chicken, etc.!

	10:57am Listener Robert: I got into baking this past year originally as a way to make use of the leftover half packet of yeast I had from fermenting beverages 2 liters at a time in soda bottles. I'd already gotten into using the oven here since moving in in late 2016. Other places, I usually didn't know how to light the over; Mother never showed me that when I helped with her baking. But the oven here is electric, and it was just a matter of figuring out the electronic controls. What I mostly bake is pizza. I'll be doing one today. I make 2 pizzas' worth of dough at a time, raise it, then age it at least overnight in the refrigerator before baking the first pie in a cheap roasting pan.
