Good evening Bas and everyone!
Avatar 🌍 Swag For Life Member 6:08pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi, Rob and marchers. I notice the calendar at the bottom. Never spotted it before. What a useful addition!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:11pm Rob W:

Thanks Ken! Embedding my world musicky events calendar is a pretty new wrinkle. It's on the weekly playlist pages and on my playlist index page as well.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:46pm katie:

Great Ricki news - She just opened her eyes to look at her sister!!! Whether it was the energies of the march, the parade of family and friends, music played for her, dedicating this TSP show, the video/audio of her purring cat Fancy Pants...
Avatar 6:47pm Old Dave:

I bet Randy Bachman is pleased to hear this.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:48pm Rob W:

Wow that's fantastic, thanks Katie!
Avatar 7:06pm Old Dave:

We need Ricki (and her middle fingers) now more than ever.
All well wishes to her!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:07pm Rob W:

Thanks Old Dave!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:12pm Smilty69:

Praying for Ricki Moskowitz's speedy recovery. The world needs more of her.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:14pm Rob W:

True indeed, thanks Smilty!
Avatar 🌍 Swag For Life Member 7:17pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Folks can click on the link above her picture and donate to her recovery fund. Hoping she's up and about soon.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:21pm katie:

Thanks everyone for thinking of Ricki. She is a force to content with, a supporter of WFMU and a fantastic archivist who recently unearthed tapes of undocumented civil rights speeches from the likes of MLK for one. She needs all the thoughts, prayers, and funds she can get.
Avatar 7:31pm Old Dave:

C'mon, Brooklyn folks. Dig deep...
Avatar 🌍 Swag For Life Member 7:35pm Bas NL:

Beautiful this song by Femmes de Tétouan!
Avatar 7:39pm Old Dave:

Indeed, Bas. To the extent that dying can be beautiful, it is.
Avatar 🌍 Swag For Life Member 7:44pm Bas NL:

Death inspires the best poetry, i guess ;)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:48pm Megaroni:

Great show tonite TPSP! Wonderful world sounds
Avatar 7:53pm Old Dave:

Unless one is dying from happiness- need subtitle translations over here. Sorry!
For me, funny that this show would go to Muslim women singers for inspiration today, of all days.
Songs of Joy, Rob?
Maybe joy that you get a break from a freakishly abusive husband while he consorts with other "wives?"
  8:02pm JakeGould:

First, shout out to all of the Women’s Marchers!

@OldDave: Give it a rest. Your boneheaded claim against Muslims could be applied to Christians and Jews as well. That guy who lived up 13 of his kids in a basement for decades? The family was described as a “Good Christian Family.”
  8:05pm manu:

sick playlist!
Avatar 🌍 Swag For Life Member 8:05pm Threemoons:

Feeling a bit dense; can someone point me to the link to Ricki's profile?
Avatar 🌍 Swag For Life Member 8:07pm Threemoons:

Aaaah, I see it now...derp, thank you ! Carry on...

Good song La Cumbia
  8:12pm Carmichael:

Heya Rob und Leuten.
  8:16pm Richard From Venezuela:

Sol Okarina sounds like Natalia Lafourcade. It's Good
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:21pm Rob W:

Yep Richard, you can definitely hear that influence!
  8:34pm JakeGould:

And now that I am logged in again, here is the link as a link: www.mealtrain.com...
Avatar 8:37pm Old Dave:

Jake, sure and fine for you. Who, if you are among the monogamists, will soon be out populated by
every other type of human non-family unit. The difference is this: Christians will decry and disown the
basement dude (did he pretend to be one?)
Basement dude will be banished from society forever. Here, in the US. In Saudi, not so much.
  8:44pm Carmichael:

Dave, please shut up. No one likes a racist.
Avatar 🌍 Swag For Life Member 8:46pm Threemoons:

All--thanks for the linky!
Avatar 8:47pm Old Dave:

Glad to go, Carm. I see very few women here celebrating with you and jake.
  8:49pm tuskandhusk:

chill
Avatar 🌍 Swag For Life Member 8:57pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Thanks, Rob. Power to the people!
Avatar 🌍 Swag For Life Member 8:58pm Bas NL:

Thanks Rob!
  8:58pm JakeGould:

@OldDave: I come from a Jewish family. I’m not religious. The big “joke” in our world are the Orthodox Jews having kids like crazy… And guess what? The same is said of people from Mexico and South America… And tons of other ethnic groups.

Which is all to say, if you are upset of Muslim women being treated like crap, then you should support them as individuals. But you don’t. You decried one artist here based on your hatred and bias:

“…be out populated by every other type of human non-family unit.” I bet that’s what the Native Americans said when folks landed at Plymouth Rock back in the day.

But anyway, you are a classic racist. Enjoy your life! Whatever that might mean in your case.
