Marc Grobman:

Re: XERF: When I was a kid in central Colorado in the early 1960s, AM signals reached far! Rock stations WOKC in Oklahoma City and XERF, Villa Acuna, Mexico came booming in as strong as any local stations! "Superstations" in the US broadcast with a maximum of 50,000 watts, but XERF, just over the Texas border, had 250,000, aimed at a US audience. It broadcasted preachers giving sermons, but later on Wolfman Jack would come on. He was the one who intro'd me to Bobby "Blue" Bland.

So cool to hear about Bruce Channel's "Hey Baby." That was a favorite of mine back then. A subtle blend of blues, rockabilly, and pop.

HILDAGO, yes, I immediately thought the same thing and a bit of Otis Rush. A song Los Lobos must be aware of, because it is their kind of shuffle.

That is completely not the consensus of most Stranger Things fans, BTW. Most people feel that S2 fell a bit short of S1. I like both, but S1 a bit more. It's a fun show that doesn't require much brain power to watch. There's also the nostalgic factor, which if you're of a certain age, you can appreciate on a different level.
