I had some buttermilk to use up, so figured some buttermilk pancakes are in order. The recipe called for adding melted butter into the mix of buttermilk, milk & eggs. The butter re-solidified and makes for some highly lumpy looking pancake batter.

Whist was pretty popular in my home town. We learned it in eighth grade, I believe. Relatives would play a few hands after Thanksgiving and holidays. Dad would go to whist tournaments during the winter. One time, some oaf stole his hat and he quit going.

Bill - my story:
NO WAY was it a picture (unlike you and the cover of Country Life). My uncle made the video for 'The Price of Love', which Jerry was in, and invited me to the final edit when B and J were there. From what I remember, Bryan was quiet, even a bit shy, it was Jerry who had me transfixed. Seventeen years old, free drinks, excited and just as nervous, sitting next to her I was in another world. When it came to autographs time and as Jerry was signing her name on my concert program, my uncle said something like, we'll this'll be a story to tell your friends when you get home, Stanley and to my utter astonishment I replied sure, but it would be even better if I could say I kissed Jerry Hall and the lovely girl happily obliged. The rest is history.........
