My interpretation of Horse Printer is that it's a kind of satire of Mad Men, specifically, and corporate culture in general. I'm also pretty sure it contains many veiled references to the geography and history of Portland, OR.

Just checked it out: The album "Hard Driving Jazz" originally was released under the name of Cecil Taylor. It was an experiment in bringing two young advetourous soloists (taylor and Trane) together. Guess it must have been Tom Wilson's (producer) idea.
