	10:07pm C.S.: So at end of last year, I started working 3rd shift for the first time of my life. I like to think staying up late listening to Dark Night of the Soul and Underwater Theme Park made the transition to night dweller a lot easier than expected.

	10:22pm C.S.: I think consistency helps. When I don't stick to the same pattern on my day off, it messes me up.

	11:48pm Dean: I've seen the Germs a few times: Whisky, Masque, Elks Lodge... They hit the spot. I grew up in Whittier, spent time in the SGV. My wife worked in Alhambra. I really like that part of LA.

	11:54pm Dean: Shop there?! Uhm, my good friends worked there, including Al, who opened a shop one block west, Al's Records. Yes, I lived at Lovell's--which survives to this day--and I worked for a time, late '70s, at Music Plus on Whittier Blvd.
	♥ 11:54pm Dano59: I've interviewed Alice Cooper ("no, only my mom calls me Vincent") ... and saw Mazzy Star in 93 which - kill me now - was 25 years ago! wtf
	11:56pm Dean: Lovell's used to have two locations, one on Greenleaf in Uptown Whittier, the other to the east on the boulevard. The former was overseen by Tom Lovell, who continues to run the empire, and the latter by Tom Geigel. I frequented both, naturally.

	12:08am Dean: I once strolled into Poo Bah and the guy at the register mumbled, "Here comes the guy who pays my salary." I spent a lot there. But the bootleg haven was Beggar's Banquet in Buena Park, near Knott's Berry Farm. Springsteen sued them when Landau became his manager.

	12:28am Dean: We used to visit the Norwalk place to order camarones Topolobampos, really really hot shrimp sauteed with nopales. He does it at Babita, too.

Next week I'm driving down to Miami see WFMU gig talk lads (Talibam!) and driving them back up to play a show w/ them up here in Gainesville. (I used to play w/ them in NYC). I need live music and art to survice.

	11:56pm Dean: Lovell's used to have two locations, one on Greenleaf in Uptown Whittier, the other to the east on the boulevard. The former was overseen by Tom Lovell, who continues to run the empire, and the latter by Tom Geigel. I frequented both, naturally.

Next week I'm driving down to Miami see WFMU gig talk lads (Talibam!) and driving them back up to play a show w/ them up here in Gainesville. (I used to play w/ them in NYC).
