I have a lot of friends in NYC from Asheville (now I'm living in FL).

on the Give the Drummer Some Stream, if I'm not mistaken, the dj Flash Strap just moved to Asheville (and broadcasts from there live on the WFMU alternate stream).

Those of you experiencing radio interference, please understand that the summer solstice is the peak time of year for sporadic E skip, local solar 6 PM is one of the peak times of day for it, and within the FM broadcast band, it's more common the lower yuo go in frequency.

I used to enjoy the phenomenon, trying to log distant stations mostly on TV (almost entirely channels 2-6 if via this propagation mode). I've no idea what that'd look like today with digital TV, but given its all-or-nothing reception characteristics, it's probably like flipping a switch.

Anyway, I'm mostly hearing a NPR affiliate & some other station on 90.1 now rather than WMFU.
