	🥁 ♥ 11:04pm coelacanth∅: similar thwartingness here. i engineered my whole set-up to be more practical than it was in my last apartment, 1/2 of which was added piece by piece to the existing set-up there. got the turntable hooked-up, up upon almost 3" of various cushiony/dampening substances. but if i sneeze (for example...i actually rarely sneeze) the whole room shakes. i know i can't play records, regardless of dampening. so i still haven't heard records (from wfmu & other sources) that i've had for >2 years.

	🥁 ♥ 11:42pm coelacanth∅: ngh i wont pay to live somewhere where i may not play music 24/7, but i am considerate to the possibility of it being too loud, even if i've considered the layout/acoustics/sound-insulation so i turn it down around 10 if i think it's loud - gradually further as it gets later. i start turning it down at mn on fridays & saturdays. i also push it to see what i can get away with. i ask them before i push it that much if they hear it; if it bothers them. if they're people that are not interested in being civil to their neighbors, (like the guy in the other first floor apartment) then Fuck 'em.
