Andy - go to visit a nicely quiet and isolated Pub in North Dub called John Kavanagh(1800s?). It is up by Glasnevin Cemetery and is known as the "Gravediggers" because it was the place where the gravediggers drank... and perhaps ate??? Best to get a taxi from the Centre..Guess you have a driver???? And or go to the 40 Foot Swimming spot in South Dublin.. True non tourist experiences....
