fred:

Hey ausmanx! I don't I've heard Ariel Kalma.
Paris has a lot of shows these days, at least that interest me (I'm going to one eight days in the row starting today). It helps that the autumn festival focuses on my favorite choreographer (Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker).

hey Nick... i remember when Senyama were knocking around Sydney sleeping on floors and playing living rooms, but Lucas Abela says they're too big and famous now to bother about us over here...

I like that Senyawa use an instrument (a tube with strings around it, I don't know the name) that is traditional both in Timor and in Madagascar. I like to think it hints at travel across the Indian Ocean long ago

fred:

I only knew Alwin Nikolais as a choreographer. He did music too?
  2:41am
Nick Name:

yes - this is originally from : Choreosonic Music Of The New Dance Theatre Of Alwin Nikolais LP (1959)

Rob Gee:

ah such great musics! thanks
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:49am
fred:

I think Nikolais was one of the first to get away from pretty (and the human form) in dance, and probably had a huge influence on Decouflé (who did the New Order video for True Faith)
I have to go, thanks for the show, Nate
