So, this has always begged the question. Did Charlie hear the Bent Bolt record? I used to think it came out much earlier than 66, due to its Popeye-like vocals (I'd assumed it was Jack Mercer singing it).
But, also, did Devo hear either record? The LIES record was definitely around when the spudboys were forming.
THis is the kind of thing that occupies my nerd brain.
