After James Brown he was the most influencial musician. Arguably.

I'm usually an empiricist, but the Zen in me knows that nothing is verifiable one way or another. It's all one of the same at some level. To paraphrase Socrates, "only a fool thinks they know everything". Like Jon Snow, I know nothing....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:33am Doug Schulkind:

Kalakuta was Fela's compound. The Shrine was his nightclub. At one point, Fela declared to government officials that he was seceding from the nation and declared his compound Kalakuta Republic. That's when the army stormed home, arresting Fela. In the scrum, they threw Fela's mother down the stairs. She later died from her injuries.

Laying the pathos on THICK!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 11:41am Uncle Michael:

I hear the Pathos is going to be shut down on weekends.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:43am Doug Schulkind:

Speaking of thick, Uncle Michael is next here on the Drummer Stream! (Always purchase Hinky Dinky Time crunchy, never Hinky Dinky Time smooth.)

It is natural for oil to form at the top when you first open Hinky Dinky Time. Just give it a quick stir with a dull knife.

Pathos sounds like the name of a Greek restaurant where your girlfriend dumps you.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 11:44am Brian in UK:

Remind me of a nightclub locally years ago. It was called Shades but the first S had fallen off.
  11:45am Mr C:

Arthur's Sweet SoulMusic album is flawless..he led quite a life.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:45am Doug Schulkind:

The one simply rotten feature of my new radio show/job choreography is that now I never get to listen to Hinky Dinky Time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:46am Doug Schulkind:

I will be off for a few Fridays over the holiday break. So I will overdose on my Hinky then.
Avatar 11:49am northguineahills:

OD on hinky, sounds kinky....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:51am Rich in Washington:

We'll keep a slice of Hinky warm for you in the oven, Doug!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:52am Doug Schulkind:

I'll start salivating now, Rich. Ooops, already started!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 11:52am Brian in UK:

Doug, another stunningly average show. Do not let standards rise.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:53am Doug Schulkind:

Mesmerizingly mediocre is what I'm shooting for.
  11:54am Mr C:

You were on point and even above today Doug..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:55am Doug Schulkind:

Crazy things I do for you...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:55am Doug Schulkind:

@Webhamster Henry
Is that an autoharp I hear?
Avatar 11:56am burke:

  11:56am Listener Gregory:

This song is the opposite of Baby It's Cold Outside.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:57am Doug Schulkind:

The current great burke!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 11:57am Brian in UK:

Charles Bradley was scheduled to be touring over about eighteen months ago but cancelled, was hoping to see him but he must have been too poorly.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 11:57am Uncle Michael:

I think Charles might have actually heard The Way We Were once.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:57am Doug Schulkind:

Cheers, rw! Thanks! And helloooo, Listener Gregory! (I think I forget to say hey oilier.)
  11:58am Listener Gregory:

Oops, it changed into something else. My brain!
