Thank you for playing our dear friend Penelope's record! She lived here in JC for a number of years before moving to London, and Maeve was a friend of all of ours too, lived here, loved here and was loved here. The song might be a eulogy for Maeve, who is missed by many now.

Yes, their 2nd LP -1969- with Sandy Denny; the 1rst LP had singer Judy Dyble. F.C. is still together and will hold their 40th outdoor music fest next August in Oxfordshire.

...my Gravy chance meeting was quite fun. An older friend took me to WBAI-FM, summer '67, when it was in Midtown. DJ Bob Fass was on-air, hosting a live set by early raga-freak-folk guitarist Peter Walker. Wavy Gravy was hanging out, friendly fellow.
