DJ GeorgyGirl:

Woot! :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:03pm
Rich in Washington:

Al Adamson was really an amazingly bad director. Satan's Sadists was sort of fun, though.
  4:03pm
Martinibomb:

I enjoyed the film. This song takes the cake tho
Avatar 4:03pm
Otis Fodder:

I'm here for the spider wombats, listening in the background, while work won't let me chat away.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:04pm
Rich in Washington:

I tried watching Adamson's Dracula vs Frankenstein a couple of times over the weekend, but kept falling asleep.
Avatar 4:05pm
Mr Fab:

Thx for your show, Georgy - I was at lunch, but w/headphones on.
  4:05pm
Martinibomb:

This is a good rock mix for working and getting shit done.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:06pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

I'm gonna stick around until about half past, but then going to crash. had to get up early this morning so I'm flagging a bit! I'll catch up on archive tho :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:06pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

Thank you Mr fab! :-)
Avatar 4:07pm
Otis Fodder:

I love this Command album. I've moved around to 5 different cities with Bongos/Flutes/Guitars. But purged other albums? What does that say?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:07pm
Jan Turkenburg:

It was a lvely soothing show, Georgy :-)
  4:07pm
Martinibomb:

I know exactly what ya mean I think I have 3 copies of it too.. all the command records are awesome tho
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:08pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

Thank you, Jan :-) I think that's what tipped me over into relaxed sleepiness ;-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:08pm
Jan Turkenburg:

and of course ... MB you can't go wrong with bongo's and flute with me :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:09pm
Rich in Washington:

I keep buying a lot of the same Command records over and over, thinking I don't have them. I've been giving a lot of my dupes to my son, who's just discovered the joys of sampling records.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:10pm
Rich in Washington:

I keep telling him, there's lots of great breaks n' beats on those Enoch Light records, if you've got the right ear.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:10pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

Studio 2 Stereo. Those are my weakness, but again - the same ones over and over again. I keep thinking how cool the cover is ... the playlist checks out ... and then I get home and there are the other 900 waiting for me. ;-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:10pm
Rich in Washington:

Whoa. This is epic, Martinibomb!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

That guitar!!!!!
Avatar 4:11pm
Otis Fodder:

Sampled so many Command records in the past. So much isolation on those early 60s LPs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11pm
Rich in Washington:

The covers ARE great! I keep upgrading the covers or discs on those records when I find them, to be sure.
  4:12pm
Issah B Neugardner:

Can u play some Eagles?
  4:12pm
Martinibomb:

Duane Eddy knows how to play
  4:13pm
Martinibomb:

The Eagles are banned from Sheena's Jungle Room :-)
  4:13pm
Issah B Neugardner:

Request: full album of Grand Funk Railroad. Could be a fun Wed night
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:14pm
Rich in Washington:

I got turned onto Enoch Light by - of all people - this older, really redneck guy I used to work with. Oddly, he had really eclectiv taste in music. He lent me a tape with Provocative Percussion I on one side and Dimension 3 on the other and I was blown away!
  4:14pm
Martinibomb:

Also Coldplay is banned. Those are the rules. I don't make em' - take it up with management LoL
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:14pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

To be fair that's a hell of a tape to give someone! :-)
  4:16pm
Issah B Neugardner:

What about Peaceful Easy Feelin. It could be a pretty good Segway to more cool rockin
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:16pm
Rich in Washington:

I was sold! This is also the same guy who I left my work area with a Throbbing Gristle tape playing and returned and he was in there sort of dancing to Hot On the Heels of Love and asked me to run him a copy.
  4:16pm
Martinibomb:

@Rich that's the same record that got me on him too! I remember finding it at Dave's Bookbarn.. got me into sampling too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:17pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

Sounds like he had excellent taste :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:17pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

This playlist is everything by the way. REALLY enjoying it
  4:17pm
Issah B Neugardner:

I'm pretty sure there's a good rockabilly eagles cover album by the flys
  4:19pm
Martinibomb:

@Issah I'd listen to that!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:20pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

@MB - I have this in an upcoming show. Great minds! ;-)
  4:20pm
Issah B Neugardner:

Pretty sure u have to take at least one request. How about some good old morrison and the DOORS? Let's get the party started!

I Heart Barry Gray one of my fave composers

Hah! Thanks GeorgyGirl!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:44pm

MB, what was playing in between Miller-Olson and The Chocolate Watchband? Or did that belong to one of the tracks?
Avatar 4:46pm
Mr Fab:

some kinda Flight of the Bumblebees kinda thing
  4:46pm
Martinibomb:

@Jan yeah I missed it and just now got it fixed. Takeshi Teraushi - Dark eyes
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:47pm

Ah! Dark eyes! I'm gonna borrow that one ofr one of my shows! :-)

Riz Ortolani :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:57pm
Rich in Washington:

Thanks, Martinibomb! Great show!
  4:59pm
Martinibomb:

Thankya Rich! Yes Riz Ortolani I love the sndtrk for that super gruesome horror flick Cannibal Holocaust.. but wow that music is so good it doesn't seem to fit the film at all ?
Avatar 5:00pm

The giallo soundtracks are all just so cool :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:03pm

I love that you can watch Cannibal Holocaust for free on Kanopy, which is available with most county library systems.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:05pm

lots of great high-brow art films, educational films, CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:06pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

Tom Baker!! Happy Face!

Martinibomb:

Libraries are so effing awesome! Support your local Libary for reals
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:07pm
Rich in Washington:

My missus is a former librarian! That's what she was doing when we first met.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:09pm
Rich in Washington:

I loved Tom's narration in Little Britain, almost more than the skits themselves.
Avatar 5:12pm
Mr Fab:

"Cannibal Holocaust" is one film I hope to never see. But speaking of The Cramps, EVERYONE should watch their 20 minute concert video, live at an actual mental hospital. Absolutely essential.
  5:12pm
Martinibomb:

Tom did narration for a friend o mine .. local filmmaker
  5:14pm
Martinibomb:

@Fab but check out the soundtrack it's awesome. Gonna watch that cramps tonight! It's in the list now
  5:15pm
Martinibomb:

I was at The Sonics concert the night Paul Revere died.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:16pm
Rich in Washington:

I think I still have my Target Video VHS of that Napa Hospital show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:17pm
Rich in Washington:

There's a pretty funny account about how all that went down in one of the Cramps books I've read. I think it was Journey To The Center of the Cramps.
Avatar 5:18pm
Mr Fab:

Would love to know the story of how the hell that show happened in the first place. Will have to check out that book. i can't imagine anything like that being allowed nowadays.
  5:20pm
Martinibomb:

What a great band they were. I think about em all the time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:21pm
Rich in Washington:

I'll see if I don't have the book as a PDF somewhere. Seems like that's how I got it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:21pm
Rich in Washington:

Great rockin' set, Martinibomb!
  5:23pm
Martinibomb:

kinda maybe sorta my fave Ramones?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:23pm
Rich in Washington:

Seems like the guy who was an activities director of the institution was a punk fan, club regular. The Mutants also played, I believe, but weren't recorded for some reason. A lot of people in the crowd were also punks, I understand.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:24pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

This is oddly pretty :-)
  5:24pm
Martinibomb:

@Rich u know about this Caretaker stuff? I think he only samples 78rpms does more ambient stuff with it tho
  5:25pm
Martinibomb:

@GG yes this artist is into the ambience of the record itself as well as what the music is
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:27pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

I shall have to worry nvestigate! Thank you for introducing me :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:27pm
Jan Turkenburg:

hey!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:28pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

Hello .... Lol You're playing my theme song!
  5:28pm
Martinibomb:

It just happened that way
Avatar 5:29pm
Mr Fab:

Caretaker's stuff is cool, like what you'd expect to hear in the ballroom of the hotel in "the Shining." He used to offer his stuff as a free download methinks?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:29pm
Rich in Washington:

I don't know much about his stuff, but I have heard it, played it on shows in the past. They're pretty spooky! That thing that Dean Hurley and David Lynch did for Twin Peaks S3E8 reminds me of that stuff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:32pm
Rich in Washington:

That Dean Hurley album is pretty cool. It's packaged like a library music album. It's all just dark cues and passages used in Twin Peaks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:42pm
Rich in Washington:

THis is crazy!
Avatar 5:43pm
Mr Fab:

You mean: it's saico!
  5:44pm

Pnly thing we need now is someone from Australia, where they're almost having breakfast now.
  5:56pm
Martinibomb:

As long as it's not someone from New Caldonia.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:57pm
Rich in Washington:

Great show, MB!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:57pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

Fabulous show! Thoroughly enjoyed it :-)
  5:58pm
Martinibomb:

As always you'll win 1 million if you can guess what the last song I'll play will be.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:58pm
Jan Turkenburg:

MB, the melody the flute played in the beginning is almost similar to the tune I just "invented" for a mix I was working on for a certain Eric :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:59pm
Jan Turkenburg:

ther it ia AGAIN
  5:59pm
Martinibomb:

@Jan I wanna hear it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:59pm

  6:02pm
Martinibomb:

Yes mssg it over red rover. Cya on Friday. and don't forget to listen to the Stream everyone.
