I think VU is similar to U2 in that both take avant -garde music from the extreme abstract and also punk world (respectively) and make it more accessible to a college radio crowd. Well, in U2's case, a stadium arena crowd. I think I read part of that in a review once. The VU stuff I just made up. Thoughts?

i like this and i have since i first heard it, in the 70s. my only problem with it though is the mix. yoko's vocals should be secondary to the git + feedback sounds, which are far more interesting (and far less self-indulgent!) - maybe coming up loud occasionally, and with heavy echo at times.
