But if you deliberately try to breed out the plants from the edge of your field because you know they'll collect pollen from the patented plants adjacent, it's a type of unjust conversion of property. Same as if theeir cattle wandered onto your field and you kept them, or if you decrypted the radio signal and retransmitted it for profit.

BUT - if you presoak and rinse you get rid of some of the startches that are hard to digest that cause flatulence. if you wanna toot, don't presoak. just got an instant pot and you don't have to in there. 40 minutes of high pressure and it's done.

Best has worked tirelessly to preserve genetic diversity and the flavors rooted in the Southern Appalachian Mountains for over 50 years. He has collected over 1400 varieties of bean seeds, bringing back some from the brink of extinction. Bill shares with us his passion for collecting and preserving heirloom seeds along with sharing some family stories that are a fundamental part of keeping history alive and tasting delicious.
