Mr Fab:

Yeah, I'm coolin' with the Cool.
  4:02pm
Martinibomb:

Sorry I couldn't get the Piano bar going this week. I think next week or the week after for sure tho. Also -- it's probably going to be a mix of live playing/sequencing/synths etc.. than a typical piano bar.
Avatar 4:03pm
Otis Fodder:

Hey hey! Listening in while at work.
  4:03pm
Martinibomb:

This is my 5 year old Niece doing MJ

Mr Fab:

"Sanford and Son"!!
  4:26pm
Martinibomb:

He has a thing he does right now called The Mighty Porno that I'm trying to get him to make more of for Sheena's
  4:26pm
Martinibomb:

"Ain't nothing uglier than a 90 year old white woman." That line always makes me laugh coming from him
  4:31pm
Martinibomb:

So I'm hoping to add a "Piano Bar" to Medium Cool in the coming weeks. I'm out of practice. But it's also 2019 so why play it like a regular piano bar anyway? So I'm planning a combo of sequencing/live performance with synths/piano etc..and as I get more practiced I'll break it up with piano only.
Avatar 4:34pm
Mr Fab:

Lounge cats been using those rinky-dink drum machines since forever, so strictly piano isn't necessary. Looking forward to it however you do it.
  4:40pm
Martinibomb:

That's true.. I kind of want to dive deeper into that stuff now. Not really a recorded thing unfortunately. I like the cumbia guys who go nuts on cheap casios. There's a guy I follow on fb down in san diego/la? he's crazy good
Avatar 4:43pm
Mr Fab:

Wow, who's that? Love that kinda stuff.
Avatar 4:44pm
Mr Fab:

Ah, that was Mr Ursula 1000. Was wondering what he was up to lately.
  4:45pm
Martinibomb:

I can probably get him on the show and we can find out
Avatar 4:47pm
Mr Fab:

  4:48pm
Martinibomb:

@Fab I can't remember the guys name right now.. but when I remember I'll send it your way in regard to the cumbia cheap casio thing.
Avatar 4:59pm
Mr Fab:

  5:05pm
Martinibomb:

Any Magazine in the stream?
  5:06pm
Martinibomb:

They seem like a total Sheena's Jungle Room band to me.
Avatar 5:08pm
Mr Fab:

Yeah, I should check, I don't remember. Plenty of Buzzcocks tho, i can tell ya that.
Avatar 5:15pm
Mr Fab:

That 'Talkwell' tracks was very strange and confusing.
  5:20pm
Martinibomb:

It is isn't it? It's kinda inexplicable
Avatar 5:29pm
Mr Fab:

Ha, i had this "RoboCop" 12". didn't Dr Dre have something to do with this?
  5:33pm
Martinibomb:

Yeah? I think he did. Also my copy was new old stock! So you had the same print I've got :-)

Well, there ya go!

"Requiem Pour Un Con" is Serge Gainsbourg, but someone has done a subtle dubby remix of it.
  5:43pm
Martinibomb:

Right, should I list it that way? I'm never sure how to list stuff like that.
  5:43pm
Martinibomb:

ohh I know how to do it...
Avatar 5:50pm
Mr Fab:

Yep, that's good.
Avatar 5:51pm
Mr Fab:

I think of "Chelsea Girl" as Velvet Underground album # 1.5
The Velvets wrote and perform on it. It's sort of, almost, their second album.
  5:53pm
Martinibomb:

It's hard to believe that album is 1967 yeh I dig it tooo. Well thanks for listening this week. Whoa I guess that's the end.
  5:54pm
Martinibomb:

We covered some territory in that mix
Avatar 5:56pm
Mr Fab:

Gotta check out that Bruce Haack.

Thanks muchly, Martinibomb!
  5:56pm
Martinibomb:

Well thanks again for the opportunity to play music Mr. Fab.
  5:57pm
