@chresti, good you got off jury duty. I just got my notice for jury duty (in Jersey they have you be available for 2 days, and you call on the night before to see if you have been chosen. So far I've been lucky with these and been excused when I call in. Still have to take the days off in case I am called. Hoping my lucky streak continues).

I once witnessed Pullen dislocate a finger in the middle of a hellishly hammering solo. Seemingly without stopping, he yanked his finger back into place with his other hand and kept hammering. Beautifully.

Thanks, @Fred...she's 102, had a really good life, not in pain, but it's just a matter of time at this point (though she is stubborn and strong willed, and it would be like her to prove the docs wrong. She's already well past their predictions for her demise)

@chresti: In one of the non-cop robberies, they took a CD/radio player I had got for Christmas like a couple of days earlier. I had the Geinoh Yamashirogumi Symphonic soundtrack to Akira inside, and I talked the robbers into letting me having that CD back. They looked confused, but I still have it.
The cops' MO is they search you "for drugs", and any bill they find is theirs. Now I break up bills into coins before going to shows in places where they're likely to roam, they don't steal coins
