February 12, 2019: JONATHAN HERTZBERG (Dirty Old New York aka Fun City II)
Jonathan Hertzberg is back for a fifth installment (the second employing his exhaustive knowledge of John Lindsay and Ed Koch-era New York City portrayed in film which can be experienced through his "Dirty Old New York aka Fun City" video series). Whether it's the subway, Twin Towers, baseball, punk vs. disco or crooked cops off in the distance, a long-gone NYC is undeniably in the foreground, preserved in all of its glory, as is the music from this era. Check out Jonathan's first Morricone Island-curated show of music from films featuring NYC preserved in all of its glory on 7/21/15, and subsequent appearances on 12/15/15 (Coming Of Age Films), 1/17/17 (Films of 1981) and 11/21/17 (Source Music).
