Years ago I was working on a TV commercial, and the prop master asked his assistant, who was a little slow on the uptake, to get him the Robert Plant from the truck. A little while later she came back and said "I couldn't find a rubber plant" in a dismayed tone of voice.He just looked at her for a long time and then said " Never mind, I'll get it myself" This happened right in front of me.
