Morning everyone!

Nick the Bard:

Everything here is WAY TOO DIFFERENT from last week, it's not even a cool keyboard anymore, and now we have to use Chrome to deal with entering stuff on the station computers :/
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:10am
Cmurtha:

why do you have to use Chrome? I am not a Chrome fan at all. Also no marathon = different keyboard?
Avatar 3:13am
Nick the Bard:

Some how entering the playlist info is broked in FF (eventhough it seems like it's working fine on mine? Maybe it was an update that started messing with things?), and the keyboard used to be all clacky, now it's back to a not so clacky one (the key clacks are just comforting some how)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:16am
Cmurtha:

very unfortunate that you can't use firefox, hopefully that will be fixed in the future. The keyboard change is odd though. You do certainly get used to the sounds of a mechanical keyboard.
Avatar 3:19am
Nick the Bard:

It also had bigger keys that weren't so recessed, and it wasn't as flat as keyboards are getting made anymore, so it was just a lot more confortable to use (and a bit easier to use as well)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:29am
Sebastian:

good morning!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:29am
Sebastian:

So Mark Hurst will now have to use Chrome to enter his playlist? That'll sting...
Avatar 3:33am
Nick the Bard:

I wouldn't even care if the layout on it wasn't so clunky
Avatar 3:50am
Chris in Kuala Lumpur:

Legacy of the Wizard? Wow. We're going obscure when it comes to the NES library.
Avatar 3:50am
Chris in Kuala Lumpur:

I would have gone for Vice: Project Doom myself. Much better for the late hours.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:51am
Aitch:

Hi from Sydney NTB, wacky as usual, all very good
Avatar 3:55am
Chris in Kuala Lumpur:

The one time I went to the St. Patrick's Day parade in NYC I got off the train and some bro-type shook me by the shoulder and went: "DUDE! LAW AND ORDER IS FOR F**S!!!" Then some young woman vomited in a puddle of slush.
Avatar 3:55am
Chris in Kuala Lumpur:

So I can't imagine how the KISS crowd is worse. That's horrifying!
Avatar 3:57am
Chris in Kuala Lumpur:

Hrm. The Ultimate Guide to the NES Library lists Legacy of the Wizard as "Common" in terms of cartridge rarity. I stand corrected!
Avatar 4:10am
Nick the Bard:

I mena, i got my copy at my video store, and I still remember the commercial for it with the guy saying "THE LEGACY OF THE WIZARD" all epic and booming, same for Battle of Olympus and Guardian Legend (Broderbund really knew how to make a commercial for their stuff)
Avatar 4:14am
Nick the Bard:

But, yeh, trust me, the St Pat's crowd doesn't get a LOUD as these people did (and they're just coming on the train drunk, as opposed to flat out drinking in the car)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:16am
Cmurtha:

I met a girl in Azerbaijan who took photos of herself with mangos everywhere she traveled. I don't know why she did that, but that was her "thing"
Avatar 4:18am
Chris in Kuala Lumpur:

My wife loves mangos, but she always forgets we have them.
Avatar 4:18am
Chris in Kuala Lumpur:

So they end up rotten and dripping in the fruit bowl. Gross stuff.
Avatar 4:20am
Chris in Kuala Lumpur:

And man. I'll stay off the train when KISS has their next farewell concert if that's the way it is.
Avatar 4:21am
Chris in Kuala Lumpur:

Battle of Olympus was also awesome. I recently spent part of a work day playing through it on an emulator.
Avatar 4:23am
Nick the Bard:

I've only ever gotten up to Cerberus in TBoO, even with save states that dog is really difficult to deal with
Avatar 4:24am
Chris in Kuala Lumpur:

He's difficult, but if you're patient and get the patterns you can definitely take him. (Of course, that could be said of virtually every NES boss in history, but...)
Avatar 4:32am
Nick the Bard:

Yeh, he's just annoying tough, even with the turbo button :/
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:32am
Cmurtha:

An actual voice from the show during story time? Rare
Avatar 4:33am
Chris in Kuala Lumpur:

I had the turbo controller for one game: Snake, Rattle 'n' Roll. You can't beat the final boss without it.
Avatar 4:41am
Nick the Bard:

I had them, but the Max just felt weird to hold and the Advantage was really awkward to use in general (and I wasn't THAT horrible with arcade games, just the joystick worked odd compared to the real ones)
Avatar 4:44am
Chris in Kuala Lumpur:

I always hated the Advantage. It just didn't feel like it was made for the types of games that were on the NES.
Avatar 4:46am
Nick the Bard:

I had more fun taking off the knob from the joystick and using it as a replacement head for action figures
Avatar 4:50am
Chris in Kuala Lumpur:

Haha. That's awesome!
Avatar 4:52am
Chris in Kuala Lumpur:

Pics of that would be majorly creepy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:53am
Sem:

Good morning, Nick, hello, all.
Avatar 4:54am
Chris in Kuala Lumpur:

This sounds like it should be the theme song for a cartoon about an anthropomorphic breakfast burrito.
Avatar 4:55am
Nick the Bard:

It actually is www.youtube.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:56am
kentuckywoman:

I love this song. I didn't know it until now, but I love it.
Avatar 5:00am
Chris in Kuala Lumpur:

Yeah, you definitely need some decent animal flesh in there.
Avatar 5:08am
Chris in Kuala Lumpur:

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking, Pinky?"

"I think so, Brain, but if JFK were still alive, why would he be waterskiing?"
  5:35am
Derp:

This show is hygge. I love waking up to it and falling in and out of sleep to it. It's hard to get out of bed and break the spell.
Avatar 5:37am
Nick the Bard:

I had to look up that, but, that's a concept that at least fits the show nicely
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:51am
Cmurtha:

Great show today nick, good luck with what you have to run off to do!
Avatar 5:53am
Nick the Bard:

It's pretty much dealing with an insurrance bill, but needing to get someone else to talk to them about things and the stupid permission thing with it, bleh (and said person that needs to talk to them having to be somewhere around 11am)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:55am
Sem:

A good time, as always, listening to your show, Nick. Thanks, and see you again next time.
Avatar 5:57am
Chris in Kuala Lumpur:

A really great show. This is the first time I've had it on, I think. I'll return! And good luck with the insurance bill, man.
  5:58am
John from Florham Park:

Nick will send you some pixie dust your way
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:00am
Cmurtha:

hahaha exellent
  12:17pm
Marie:

Hi Nick! I think you mentioned Chris Elliot singing Life is a Cabaret, last week; I'm wondering if you ever watched him do his imitation of Patrick Swayze and Dirty Dancing on David Letterman--it's hilarious.I love your show! (We spoke on Ken and Andy's cruise.)
