You realize this is just a bit spinney and blasty. Making the withdrawal less dramatic. Sooo thoughtful!

That's too hard to say. I'm going to cheat and say the Funhouse album from start to finish. But if I had to pick one I'd say Loose or 1970. Johanna and Open Up and Bleed are up there too.

The stooges used to play in my hometown often, including a infamous performance at Goose Lake music fest that happened about 20 years before I was born.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:53pm
TomDash:

My first Stooges was the debut LP heard in college...so that will always have a sentimental place for me, the psychedelic Stooges indeed. Then heard this one a few years later...ripped me apart...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57pm
tim from champaign:

@aaronfromMI - my favorite photo from the Goose Lake fest is one where the attendees made a large bunker in the shape of a peace sign out of beer cans. Pure Michigan!
  3:58pm
Whooda:

I thought this was FM 101 Easy Listening Hit Parade, but I think this will do MUCH better.
Avatar 3:59pm
aaronfromMI:

Ha, I haven't seen that one! Pure Michigan indeed! Russ Gibb recently passed away, not sure if WFMUers knew that. I'm living in Philly now. They just don't understand (I bet Iggy would)!

Ha! Thx Tom, check's in the mail!

I didn't know Russ Gibb passed away. That's pretty big. I didn't know that he helped out the early Detroit hardcore bands until I read Why Be Something You're Not.

Tim, he was 87. There was a meetup at the former Grande Ballroom to pay homage to him. Russ Gibb has to be one of the most important DJs ever. Maybe even better than Tom, sorry Tom!
