i enjoyed the Folk Masses of the Episcopal church, to me it was a great way to avoid the dogma and indoctrination of church school. my father thought they were blasphemy, but he was crazy, so we didn't listen. and, fwiw,i took the jesus-pop with a grain of salt, it allowed me to have my own footing for my faith.... now i'm buddhist

totally!!! we were forced to attend church summer camp,late 60s and such..after hours we butchered the songs. yeah, those stays were released way too much, which opened our exodus from organized religion.... i'd love to read some history of that time...by the time i was 23,i was indoctrinated into the "new age" advice os Seth and Alice Bailey.. i never looked back.
