@coala There is a limit to how many appear on the profile page, that's true. But they are still remembered, still appear in your email export, still pre-light the star when that song comes up again (or on the original playlist), still show up in DJ's view if they play a song you'd previously favorited, still show up on the "who favorited this song" page for that song, and any other ways the favorite could come up.
