Hello. Music nerd trivia: a 33-1/3 RPM record spins at ____ Pi radians per second?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 🎃 Wed. 6/12/19 12:34pm Ken From Hyde Park:

(Disclaimer: I invented that question on the spot. I don't know the answer or if it even has an answer.)

Avatar Swag For Life Member 🎃 Wed. 6/12/19 12:53pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi, crateslinger. I was looking that stuff up. 30 RPM = 1 pi and 45 RPM = 1.5 pi. Stuff I never thought of before FMU.
Thanks for the photos email. Will have to ride this weekend.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 🎃 Wed. 6/12/19 12:58pm crateslinger:

Hey Ken. I just went with a circle circumference 2(pi)R times 33 1/3 rpm divided by 60 seconds. My bike sprung a leak after Bear Mountain. Still haven't chased it down, but will do before Mdou.

Last September, on the last day of sailing, I was surrounded by hundreds of dolphins at Rockaway Inlet for hours. There was no wind so I was drifting and all I could hear was them chirping and the rocks getting closer.
Avatar Wed. 6/12/19 1:54pm Mary Wing:

Hah, is that a bad thing?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 🎃 Wed. 6/12/19 1:55pm Michael 98145:

@Mary: And then he died because of dolphins and rocks.

Ooh, nice, crateslinger. I went on a dolphin watch once but there were no dolphins, phooey.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 🎃 Wed. 6/12/19 1:56pm crateslinger:

the dolphins were cool, but the rocks were ominous. Probably make a good 4AD recording. There was also an orange sea turtle that kept coming up and looking right at me.

Avatar Wed. 6/12/19 2:04pm JakeGould:

@crateslinger: NYC’s water environment is genuinely improving. I saw a lot of Cormorants in Coney Island a few weeks back. Typically you only see seagulls and such so hey. I guess those Cormorants are finding fish out there now?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 🎃 Wed. 6/12/19 2:09pm crateslinger:

@JG - yeah seems enough bunker and mackerel to go around. Stripers are running. The fluke and flounder have not come back tho and forget about Lobsters south of Rhode Island.
