From experience, the cost of hiring an engineer and renting a studio is getting so costly (in the recent 5 years) many of my friends/bands just record to laptop and use the money for touring.

• YouTube’s CEO refuses to admit the site radicalizes users in spite of all the evidence (Business Insider, June 11): "YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki was asked whether she believes that YouTube is radicalizing its users and politics during an interview on Monday at Recode's Code Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona. Wojcicki would not outright deny this but said that she believes that the platform offers a 'diversity of opinions.'
