The writing in the Purple Mountains song was enjoyable. I liked the line about waiting for a nod from god right before the chorus. You have spoken highly of David Berman which probably makes me bias toward liking him but Silver Jews album American Water has helped me fall asleep a few nights since hearing of them!

yep.. i would pick up 650am in the car whenever i would make the trek from georgia to new york. it always came in late at night somewhere along I-81N along the mountains of virginia.
