The program formerly known as Dinner at Andy's, The Fuzzy Glove Hour, Whores, and The Happiness Hut. Ken and Andy, also known as The Enema Boys, further lower WFMU's already abysmal standards on a weekly basis. Stunt radio which subjects the radio audience to concepts and topics which mature adults should not have to endure. Find the fatal flaw. (Visit homepage.)

To be fair, It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World didnt have any prairie dogging in it.

-Ken:

I liked Rat Race way better than Mad Mad Mad World, but maybe that was because there was a character named Ken Freedman in it.
  6:13pm
noel:

How old was Hunter?
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 6:13pm
PigeonsAndRust:

RIP Hunter. I wonder if I call in and pleasantly harass Andy every week if the universe will put me out of my misery as well.
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 6:13pm
PMD:

How many calls do you have to make to get memorial when you die?
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 6:13pm
-Ken:

Hunter was around 35 or so when he died
Avatar 6:14pm

Dick Shawn Phil Silvers and Jonathan Winters were hard to beat in it's a mad mad mad mad world!!!...hahaha...

Not to mention Sid Caesar!!!...hehehe...

PMD:

It's a very nice show/thought.
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 6:19pm
-Ken:

But Rat Race had Ken Freedman and Seth Green and Jon Lovitz! Not to mention the Barbie Museum.

Hunter City. Excellent.

Listener Robert:

-Ken, I think if you check you'll see Rat Race had Prof. Ken Friedman as the inventor of the tocket car.
Avatar 6:21pm

Hehehe...ok... could be some kind of generational credibility gap involved there...hehehe... funny is funny that's all there is to it!!!...

Johnzon:

I meant to ask earlier but is Andy really unemployed? I thought he still had one tv show going...
and doesn't he have a toy company too?
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 6:24pm
-Ken:

Andy sold one of his games, "Shit Happens" to TBS and they made a game show out of it called "The Misery Index," with The Impractical Jokers, and it's going to premiere in September. But yeah, technically, Andy is unemployed as he does not have a weekly or daily gig happening right now.
  6:24pm
Listener Robert:

At least, that's the way I spelled it in my head. Like Little Kenny Friedman on Monk.

My friend's show "Lost" had a few allusions to Mad World, including an episode that opened panning down past a big W of palms to one chareacter digging under them and another character with a spade offering to help.
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 6:26pm
PMD:

How on earth were you able to find all these clips?
  6:26pm
Listener Robert:

And that was actually a clue that "Lost" was about characters vying for ill-gotten loot.
Avatar 6:27pm
CC:

I always thought Andy ought to try his hand at stand-up comedy!?!...
  6:30pm
noel:

Hunter was a regular years ago so the archives have all of the old shows with him.
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 6:32pm
PMD:

Right but you still have to find the clips. Man, that's a lot of work. Good job!!
Avatar 6:34pm
CC:

Btw... I have a nephew, grandson, and cousin all named Hunter...small world..!..
  6:34pm
noel:

I have files that all I have to do is use a name and it finds everything with that in it.
Avatar 6:37pm
CC:

I like that song by the group Free..Call me the Hunter!?!...
  6:38pm
noel:

I was in The Perfect Murder but there is no archive. My cousin has a copy.
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 6:39pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

This episode is good because Andy has not lost the will to live in any of the clips.
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 6:39pm
PMD:

@noel, cool
  6:39pm
Listener Robert:

I thought I remembered Hunter's having been a child when he started phoning 7SD. Or was that someone else who died young?
  6:40pm
noel:

I thought Hunter was a kid too.
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 6:40pm
-Ken:

Thanks to John K for producing tonight's show! Anybody who ever wants to put together a clip show like this, please feel free!
Avatar 6:42pm
Fredericks:

Isn't there a Riot Act episode? I only read references to it.
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 6:43pm
-Ken:

No, Hunter wasn't a kid when he first started calling... maybe you're thinking of Arnon? Arnon was also sort of a nemesis to Andy.. they went at it over tetherball one time. It got ugly.
  6:44pm
noel:

Bingo Ken

queems:

i always feel sad listening to old tapes of people who have died
Avatar 6:47pm
CC:

Oh..!.. I love the way he does that song called 'two of a kind'!!!!...
  6:47pm
noel:

He's just sleeping queems. The sad part is dying that young. Great show regardless.
  6:51pm
Listener Robert:

Thanks, -Ken. Yes, I'd blended Arnon and Hunter in my memory. Same way I confuse Rex and the Hound, and Kevin Nutt with his predecessor.
Avatar 6:51pm
CC:

That song and Monster...mmmm... and maybe the disappointment song were the only three songs that really got to me by John Kay..!..love that guy!!!...
Avatar 6:53pm

I think Alan Sherman said that word in the original Cat in the Hat?!?...

Rat Race is a perfectly cromulent movie.

Phoobis:

PMD: I listened to every show in the archives and found all the Hunter calls, which gave me about an hour and a half of material. From there I edited it down to what I thought were the best or most revealing calls, starting with the earliest one I could find and ending with the "60 Guests in 60 Minutes" show from September 29, 2010. Looking back on it, Hunter was a real fixture of the show, and he is sorely missed.

Ange of Why Oh Why fame suggested a Hunter Tribute show upon his passing, and I always meant to do something but I never got around to it until I recently got chicken pox and couldn't go outside for two weeks.
